Speed and Depth controls determining the speed and intensity of effect modulation are complemented by Mix (dry/wet signal ratio), Voice (phaser, flanger, chorus voicing) and two three-position switches (Sweep determines the shape of the modulation curve/LFO, Resonance sends feedback back to the input from the output - Off, Mild and Strong modes).
The Strymon Zelzah offers mono/stereo input and stereo outputs with options for serial connection (6-stage phaser before 4-stage phaser), parallel connection and split mode, where the signal from the phasers is split to the left and right outputs. You can also connect an expression pedal to the effect and assign any number of parameters/functions to the heel and toe positions, and control individual pedal functions from a MIDI controller or your DAW via USB-C or EXP/MIDI.
All electronics are housed in a durable anodized aluminum chassis. The box offers optional buffered bypass or true bypass circuitry. The included 9V adapter is used to power the effect.
The American company Strymon aims to produce precision crafted effects and does not allow any compromises in this area. Thanks to this, Strymon effects are currently among the best you can plug your instrument into. The great enthusiasts at this small company spend months in the development of all effects, fine-tuning algorithms, calibrating and thinking through the smallest details. If you want to be in full control of your sound at all times, definitely turn your attention to this brand.
