OVATION Adamas 2087GT-5-G

Ovation acoustic guitars from the American high-end Adamas series are changing the game, replacing many of the traditional materials inherently associated with body construction.

The 2087GT-5-G models are handcrafted in the Custom Shop in New Hartford, Connecticut. The guitar's faceplate is made of ultra-thin carbon fiber. The fan-shaped Adamas Fan ribbing, the placement and shape of the sound holes, and the arched Deep body made of hand-applied composite material maximize the resonance of the ultra-thin top.

Also glued to the two-piece walnut neck is a walnut fingerboard adorned with maple position markers. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the strings' anchoring in Schaller gold-finished mechanics and a black walnut fingerboard. The luxurious workmanship is accentuated by decorative elements in the form of exotic wood soundhole tabs on the soundboard, glass composite perimeter binding and wood carvings on the headstock and tailpiece.

The guitar's sound system is provided by an Ovation OCP1K pickup and an OP-PRO Studio preamplifier with a three-band EQ, built-in tuner, a Drive control for accentuating or suppressing higher harmonics/alikvoti tones, and a fader working as a compressor/limiter depending on the Drive control's setting. The OP-PRO Studio preamp thus guarantees high resistance to feedback and very low noise levels.

The guitar comes in a sturdy moulded case.
