Ibanez AZS electric guitars are instruments with a modern single-cut design. The design offers a number of common elements with the Super ST models Ibanez AZ is based on.
The body of the AZS2200 is made of alder. The heat treatment of the guitar's maple neck and fingerboard (S-TECH treatment) improves the properties of the wood (stability, durability, resistance to water and temperature fluctuations) and gives the guitar the look and feel of an already mature/played instrument. The fingerboard is fitted with rounded Jumbo stainless steel frets (Prestige fret edge treatment). Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by pearl position dots (Abalone) and luminescent markers on the side.
The two passive Seymour Duncan pickups, a single-coil and a mini humbucker, give the guitar a clean, dynamic, articulate sound with a characteristic "twang", helped by the metal pickup plate in which the single-coil is housed. The dyna-MIX5 switching system (three-position pickup switch and two-position alter switch) offers five different pickup connection options, including split coil humbucker or series pickup connection.
The strings are held in place by a Gotoh T1802 tremolo and Gotoh Magnum Lock locking tuning mechanisms via an impregnated bone fretboard, ensuring tuning stability even with frequent use of the lever. The H. A. P (Height Adjustable Post) allows you to adjust the height of the string pin to achieve the ideal string tension.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
