MAPEX Armory Night Sky Burst AR529SVL

Armory is a semi-professional series replacing the very popular Meridian Birch and Meridian Maple series. These are drum kits that can be considered the absolute standard in the mid-range, plus they bring features familiar from the professional Saturn IV or Panther Concept Kit series to this category. These drums have bodies made of a combination of maple and birch, and are made of six layers, with a total thickness of 7.2 millimeters. This offers a clear resonant sound. A new feature is the use of SONIClear edges, which puts the membrane in better contact with the drum body, making the sound more natural, colourful and powerful. In addition, they also improve tuning accuracy and smoothness. The new tom handles and floor tom feet are marked the same way, making these drums resonate without restriction.

In addition to the bass drum, two toms and one floor tom, the set also includes a snare from the Mapex Tomahawk series. The latter is made of 1 millimeter thick stainless steel. Together with the SONIClear edges, it is thus able to deliver a powerful and piercing sound. The hardware is chrome plated, the string mechanics with vertical piston and the new Armory tuning screws are used.

Also included is new chrome hardware (2x tom holder TH687S, 2x multiclamp AC910). The drum mechanics offer an improved design, factory strung with quality Remo UT membranes. These kits are available in several configurations to allow really any drummer to choose, and of course in many colors as well.

The set does not include cymbals, cymbal stands, or snare stands.
