In a relatively short period of time, Suhr electric guitars have gained a considerable reputation among top instrumentalists and all musicians with the highest demands for quality workmanship and sound.
The Andy Wood Signature Series Modern T is the signature T model of American guitarist and mandolinist Andy Wood. The body of the guitar is made of swamp ash. The unique feel of the guitar is provided by burning the body wood before applying the satin lacquer, so you can feel the texture of the wood even under the lacquer layer. The bolt-on neck and fingerboard are made from heat-treated maple (Roasted Maple). The fingerboard surface is divided by twenty-four stainless steel frets (.057 "x.110"). The Modern Eliptical neck profile and flat fingerboard radius contribute to the instrument's excellent playability.
Two Suhr Woodshed single-coil pickups give the instrument the proper "twang" of T models, plus thanks to SSCII technology, completely free of the characteristic annoying single-coil noise. Standard sound adjustments include a volume knob, tone control and three-position pickup switch.
Tuning stability, great sustain and fast string changes are guaranteed by the TusQ zero fret string attachment in the company's 18:1 ratio locking gears and Gotoh 510 tremolo.

John Suhr has over 35 years of musical instrument manufacturing experience under his belt, during which time he has made a deep mark on the musical community with top-of-the-line "Pensa-Suhr" (as guitar builder) guitar and bass models that have been played by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Lou Reed and many others in the 1980s, or as a Senior Master Builder in the Fender Custom Shop in the 1990s. However, John didn't have complete control over the entire manufacturing process, so in 1997 he decided to start his own Suhr brand. So you can be assured of the highest possible standards of quality when it comes to Suhr guitars, basses, instruments or pedal effects. Permanent clients of the Suhr brand include Peter Frampton, Michael Landau, Scott Henderson and Doug Aldrich.
