The Tanglewood Discovery DBT DCE FMH is an electro-acoustic dreadnought guitar. The front of the guitar is made of laminated Himalayan spruce, while the back and sides are made of overlaid veneered mahogany, whose grain contrasts beautifully with the spruce top. The neck is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret, and the ebony-finished composite fingerboard surface is divided by twenty frets and landmark position dots. A lower body cut-out facilitates the touch on the higher positions of the fingerboard.
Sound reinforcement is provided by the company's TW EX-4 preamp with four-band equalizer and integrated tuner. Strings are held in chrome die-cast mechanisms and a black walnut fingerboard.
