The Tanglewood Union TWU SFCE is an electro-acoustic guitar of the "Super Folk" type, i.e. an instrument with a narrower and shallower body than, for example, the Dreadnought. The body of the guitar is made of African mahogany - solid mahogany front, solid mahogany back and sides. Twenty frets and landmark position dots divide the Eboncore composite fingerboard surface.
Sound reinforcement is provided by the company's TW EX-4 preamp with four-band EQ and integrated tuner. The strings are mounted in chrome Die-Cast mechanisms and a Black Walnut fingerboard. The austere design is enhanced by the maple perimeter trim on the body and headstock.
