The mahogany body of the ML3 Traditional Tobacco Ash model is adorned with ash veneer and a stylish Tobacco Ash finish. A maple fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Jumbo-sized nickel frets is glued to a bolt-on maple neck with a pleasing C profile. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by front and side black dots and a distinctive inlay on the twelfth fret. Rounded fingerboard edges, a contoured lower body cutout and a practical tummy/belly cut contribute to playing comfort.
The single-coil Chapman "Vintage Tone" pickup and "Angry Mule" P90 pickup provide the guitar with a wide range of tones. The character of the sound can be shaped using the volume and tone controls. Tuning stability and good sustain are ensured by anchoring the strings through the TusQ XL zero fret in the company's 18:1 ratio gears and through the solid bridge through the body.
