The body of the RG421PB-SBF is made of meranti and a spectacular poplar burl top veneer. The fast maple neck with Wizard III profile is glued to a jatoba fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets. White position dots make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface.
Two Quantum passive corporate humbuckers with ceramic magnets give the guitar a balanced sound with a fast bass response and punchy mids, which you'll appreciate when riffing faster. Standard adjustments include volume potentiometers, tone shutters and a five-position pickup switch that offers, in addition to the usual configurations, parallel neck humbucker connection at position 2 and the sound of the inner coils of both pickups at position 4, i.e. single-coil character.
Tuning stability is guaranteed by the string attachment in the company's drives and through the solid F106 bridge through the body. The nice workmanship is underlined by the Sapphire Blue Flat top colour scheme and the Cosmo Black hardware.
Guitars with the Standard designation are Ibanez's entry-level line. These are affordable instruments that appeal to beginners and experienced players alike with their quality craftsmanship, sound and playability.
