The TUC-UCU concert ukulele model was created in collaboration with U Can Uke. The body of the ukulele is composed of a plastic body and a laminated limewood soundboard, which is decorated with graphic motifs inspired by the theme of the desert. The ukulele's wider arched backplate allows the instrument to resonate with a clearer, louder sound than standard concert models. The neck and fingerboard are also made of ABS plastic material, with the neck design mimicking the texture of wood. The strings are anchored via plastic zero and saddle frets in guitar-style tuning machines (Geared) and a plastic headstock. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the lime veneer on the headstock with the U Can Uke logo.
The ukulele is supplied in a blue denim case with an instructional booklet.
The Slovenian brand Flight is another interesting name in the field of ukulele manufacturers. They offer a wide range of these popular compact instruments in both classic and less traditional shapes and standard sizes. Beginning players and vagabonds with a musician's soul will be delighted by the well-crafted, more affordable ukulele models made from classic and exotic woods in natural and coloured finishes, or the Travel Series ukulele models with a durable plastic body. More demanding musicians and professional players can also choose from a selection of highly crafted semi-/full-size electroacoustic ukulele models.
