The G290 FAT electric guitar offers the more modern, luxurious look of the Super ST models and is clearly one of the best in the range. The swamp ash body (listed by the manufacturer as a possible substitute for Sassafras) is adorned with a spectacular figured maple top veneer, backed by an Antique Violin Burst stain. The neck and fingerboard of the instrument are made of budded maple (Birdseye Maple) with characteristic eyelets in the wood grain. Not only fast players will enjoy the comfortable Ergo-V profile of the neck and the combined radius of the fingerboard, which flattens towards the body - allowing for comfortable playing of chord accompaniments and fast shred on higher pitches.
The Voiced Tone VTH-77's two proprietary humbuckers offer a higher output for today's more aggressive rock, core and metal genres, while also offering a clean transparent tone so the guitar will find a place in less energetic music. Volume potentiometer, tone shutter and five-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments.
The strings are anchored in the company's locking mechanism, which allows for quick string changes, and the company's tremolo with steel saddles.
