Squier Affinity Series electric guitars represent Fender's most popular electric guitar designs at a fraction of the price of the originals. This makes them the ideal choice for aspiring guitarists and musicians who would like to get a Stratocaster, Telecaster or Jazzmaster but don't want to invest a huge amount of money in buying one.

The Affinity Stratocaster offers everything you expect from an electric guitar of this type. The instrument's lightweight poplar body is adorned with a choice of color finish and glossy polyurethane lacquer. The bolted maple neck is glued to a figured fig fingerboard, which is replaced by rosewood as standard on cheaper models. The fingerboard surface is divided by twenty-one Medium Jumbo frets and white imitation mother-of-pearl position dots. A pleasant, narrower "C" neck profile ensures comfortable movement of the hand on the fingerboard and a good fit.

Three proprietary single-coil pickups give the guitar a matching Strat tone and feel. The character of the sound can be shaped with a volume potentiometer, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch. The strings are anchored in the company's chrome tuning machines and traditional synchronized tremolo with two-point attachment.
