The ergonomically shaped mahogany body with the characteristic PRS double-cut design is adorned with a maple top and a spectacular colour scheme. An ebony fingerboard with twenty-four frets is glued to the bolted maple neck with Pattern Thin profile. Position markers in the form of mother-of-pearl bird silhouettes facilitate orientation around the fingerboard surface.
A pair of 57/08 pickups give the guitar the warm full sound of late 50s humbuckers. Its character can be adjusted with the volume potentiometers and the tone shutter, which features a push/pull (coil-split) function, allowing the guitar to give you the pure sound of single-coil pickups as well. There's also a three-position switch that lets you select between individual pickups or plug in both.
Tuning stability is guaranteed by the strings being held in the company's locking mechanisms (PRS Low Mass Locking), which prevent unwanted string movement, and the company's patented tremolo. The guitar comes in a gig bag.
Paul Reed Smith's PRS guitars are regarded as some of the most versatile and reliable instruments ever made. Thanks to their great sound and playing comfort, they are popular with Santana and Mark Tremonti, for example. In addition to the tried-and-tested classics, the brand also offers left-handed models, seven-string, baritone and semi-hollowbody guitars, and signature models from famous guitarists.
