The body of the G5622 Electromatic's semi-hollow double-cut model is made of over-ply maple and a chambered spruce center block that reinforces the guitar's soundboard. Glued to the maple neck with a Thin "U" profile is a fig wood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by offset position markers made of imitation mother-of-pearl (Neo-Classical Thumbnail).
Two Black Top Broad'Tron humbuckers give the guitar a full dynamic sound with good tone articulation and a slightly higher output signal than the Filter'Tron pickups offer, i.e. they are sonically a little closer to traditional humbuckers. To adjust the sound, there are two volume potentiometers (for each pickup separately), a tone shutter, an overall volume control with Treble Bleed circuit (allowing you to pull down the Master Volume without boosting the bass frequencies) and a three-position pickup switch.
Precision tuning is guaranteed by the Graph Tech NuBone zero-fret string attachment in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines, Adjusto-Matic adjustable tailpiece and stringers. The guitar's stylish design is accentuated by traditional elements such as the Aged White body binding, nickel hardware and Black Plexi pickguard with silver Gretsch logo.
