The body of this guitar is made of poplar. A figwood fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets is glued to a bolted maple neck reinforced with graphite bracing. Its combined radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred at higher positions. Position markers made of imitation Sharkfin pearl make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface.
Two proprietary high output active humbuckers give the guitar a juicy sound, much needed in metal and rock music. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. The strings are mounted in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and through the HT-6's solid bridge through the body of the instrument.
For several decades, American-made Jackson electric guitars have appealed primarily to musicians in metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands who profess a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's roster of players.
