TAMA Superstar Classic Exotic Gloss Lacebark Pine Fade

For more than forty years, Tama Superstar drums have set the standard for groundbreaking design, superb build quality and unique sound. The Superstar Classic combines these exceptional qualities, but comes with a new, more affordable price point made possible by simplifying the design - inspired by vintage drum kits from the 60s and 70s and the use of upgraded Classic Series hardware.

All the bodies of this seven-element set are all maple, with a 22 x 16-inch bass drum glued together from eight layers of select 7-millimeter-thick maple. It is complemented by three toms measuring 8 x 6, 10 x 7 and 12 x 8 inches, two floor toms measuring 14 x 12 and 16 x 14 inches, and a snare drum measuring 14 x 6.5 inches. Six layers of 5 millimeter thick maple were used to make these bodies. The premium material and its perfect workmanship ensure maximum resonance and a rich, full and powerful sound.

For the mounting, the Star-Mount system was used, specially developed to increase resonance and ideal vibration transmission. The new Low-Mass shells were also designed specifically for the Superstar Classic series, their compact size reduces the contact area with the body, which has a very positive effect on the resulting sound.

A balanced and punchy sound is ensured by the factory stretched Power Craft II bellows, while damping rings on the bass drum bellows also eliminate the need for additional damping. The drums also include MTH600 and MC69 tom holders.
