The layered body of the AEG70-VVH is made from a figured maple front and African sapele back and sides, similar in visual appearance and characteristics to real mahogany. The spectacular grain of the figured maple is enhanced by the impressive colour finish of the top. A walnut fingerboard with twenty frets is glued to the nyatoh neck. The lower body cutaway offers a good match even at the highest positions of the fingerboard, and orientation around its surface is facilitated by white position dots.
Sufficient volume for the needs of public performance or playing with a band is provided by Ibanez AEQ-TTS electronics with an integrated tuner built into the guitar's bellows and an underblock piezo pickup. The strings are housed in chrome Die-Cast tuning machines and a walnut fingerboard. The Ibanez Advantage's pegs in the headstock offer advantages over standard models in terms of ease of handling and firm string attachment. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a black and white body trim and rosettes with imitation mother-of-pearl rings.
