The body of the RGD7521PB-DSF seven-string guitar is made from exotic nyatoh wood and a spectacular poplar root veneer. A jatoba fingerboard with twenty-four jumbo frets is glued to a fast, narrow maple neck with a Wizard II-7 profile. The heat treatment of the maple neck enhances its characteristics while giving the guitar the look and feel of a mature/played instrument. White position dots make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface.
Two passive humbuckers from the respected Di-Marzio brand with ceramic magnets and a milder output signal give the guitar a clean open sound on thick "wires" with perfect articulation even at higher distortion and a warm round sound in the treble. In addition to the standard controls (volume, three-position toggle switch), the guitar offers a coil-tap switch that changes the character of the humbucker to single-coil in seconds.
The stability of tuning is guaranteed by the attachment of the strings in the company's mechanics and a solid Gibraltar II-7 headstock with string anchoring through the body.
Guitars with the Standard designation are Ibanez's entry-level line. These are affordable instruments that appeal to beginners and experienced players alike with their quality craftsmanship, sound and playability.
