The RGD series of the Japanese brand Ibanez offers electric guitars of the Superstrat type, which are based on the specifics of the well-known RG series, enriched with bevelled body cutouts and, above all, a longer menzurra. These are the ultimate metal/core machines in baritone or multi-string versions, especially suitable for guitarists who like a more understated sound. Flatter fast necks, lighter weight and distinctive cut-outs with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard surface are the reasons for the extreme popularity of these instruments among rock and metal guitarists.

The body of the RGD71ALPA-CKF seven-string guitar is made of laminated ash and nyatoh and a spectacular top veneer of poplar root. Glued to the neck, composed of five pieces of walnut and panga panga, is an ebony makassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-four cryogenically treated jumbo-sized frets. Orientation around its surface is facilitated by white offset position dots and luminescent markers on the side, which will give you a perfect overview of the movement on the fingerboard even in dark backlit stage environments. Thanks to the longer gauge (673 mm), the guitar can handle more pronounced tunings.

Two Bare Knuckle passive humbuckers give the guitar a modern dynamic sound with the fast bass response needed for precise articulation of fast phrased riffs. Their coils can be split with a coil tap switch to achieve the sound of single-coil pickups and thus greater sonic flexibility. A volume potentiometer and three-position pickup switch are used for standard adjustments.

Tuning stability and quick string changes are guaranteed by the string attachment in the Gotoh Magnum Lock locking mechanisms and through the solid Mono-Rail bridge through the body of the guitar. Schaller's S-Locks are included.
