IBANEZ RGD61ALA-MTR

The RGD series of the Japanese brand Ibanez offers electric guitars of the Superstrat type, which are based on the specifics of the well-known RG series, enriched with bevelled body cutouts and, above all, a longer menzurra. These are the ultimate metal/core machines in baritone or multi-string versions, especially suitable for guitarists who like a more understated sound. Flatter fast necks, lighter weight and distinctive cut-outs with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard surface are the reasons for the extreme popularity of these instruments among rock and metal guitarists.

The body of the RGD61ALA-MTR is made of ash. Glued to the neck, composed of five pieces of walnut and panga panga, is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-four cryogenically treated jumbo-sized frets. Orientation around its surface is facilitated by white offset position dots and luminescent markers on the side, which will give you a perfect overview of the movement on the fingerboard even in dark backlit stage environments. Thanks to the longer scale (673 mm), the guitar can handle lower standard and drop tunings with ease.

Two Fishman Fluence active humbuckers with ceramic and Alnico magnets give the guitar a dynamic aggressive sound (ideal for modern offshoots of metal and core styles) with excellent tone articulation, refined character and minimal noise. The guitar's sonic arsenal can be expanded by activating a second voicing by flipping the volume potentiometer (Push/Pull function), or by toggling the Coil-tap switch to change the humbucker character to single-coil in seconds.

Tuning stability and quick string changes are guaranteed by the string attachment in the Gotoh Magnum Lock locking mechanisms and through the solid Mono-Rail bridge through the body of the guitar. Schaller's S-Locks are included.
