The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of laminated pau ferro. The resonance of the top is enhanced by the gloss lacquer finish and reduced X-type (Cathedral Peaked Scalloped-X) ribbing. A mahogany neck reinforced with two-way bracing is glued to an ovangkol fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. The strings are mounted in tuning machines with black pegs and a gear ratio of 18:1. The nice workmanship is accentuated by a rosette consisting of three rings, mahogany body binding, mahogany headstock binding and the company logo on the headstock.
Sound reinforcement is provided by Fishman Presys+ 501T active electronics with integrated tuner, three-band equalizer and Notch and Phase functions for suppressing feedback and other ailments associated with the sound of lube instruments.
American company Washburn has been making acoustic instruments for a long time - since 1883. In that time, it has made countless guitars, mandolins, banjos, and accumulated a wealth of experience.
