FENDER Joe Strummer Campfire WN BK

Even more than forty years after the release of the Clash's famous London Calling, the legacy of singer and guitarist Joe Strummer remains alive. The Joe Strummer Campfire electroacoustic guitar draws inspiration from the impromptu fireside sessions with fans at Glastonbury that Joe Strummer organised, which later became part of the festival's aptly named Strummerville section.

The guitar's smaller body with shorter gauge and overall design is close to the Fender Malibu range. The soundboard is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from laminated mahogany. Glued to the mahogany neck is a walnut fingerboard fitted with twenty frets, orientation across its surface is guaranteed by positional star-shaped markers.

The guitar is fitted with Fishman electronics with integrated tuners that do not degrade the natural acoustic sound of the instrument. Stability of tuning and good sustain is guaranteed by the attachment of strings through the zero and saddle frets made of GrapthTech NuBone material in nickel mechanics and walnut Modern Viking shaped headstock. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the double-sided body binding in Aged White and the signature on the back of the headstock.
