The Epiphone Dove Pro is a more affordable alternative to the famous Gibson Dove. It is a classic "Square Shoulder" Dreadnought of semi-massive construction, with a solid spruce top complemented by maple plywood on the back and sides. Also glued to the maple neck with SlimTaper D profile is a fig fingerboard fitted with twenty Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl in the correct Dove design (Pearloid Parallelograms).
The strings are anchored via the GraphTech Nubone zero fret in Grover Rotomatics tuning machines with a 14:1 gear ratio and a figwood fingerboard. The fine craftsmanship is accentuated by details in the form of double-sided body and fingerboard binding, a rosette composed of black-and-white rings, a gloss-coloured finish on the Violinburst top, and signature Dove features in the form of an ornate pickguard with the obligatory dove and a headstock design with embedded mother-of-pearl dove silhouettes.
The guitar's voicing is handled by Fishman Sonitone electronics with a Sonicore sub-coil pickup and Volume and Tone controls discreetly placed in the instrument's soundhole.
