The sE Electronics X1S is a direct successor to the highly popular sE X1 studio microphone and is by far the best branded affordable studio microphone on the market. .
After five years of service to musicians, the acclaimed and award-winning sE X1 condenser model has received an upgrade to its electronics and improved acoustic cartridge fit, resulting in the upgraded X1 S. While maintaining the much sought-after great sound, it now has even lower inherent noise as well as greater sound editing capabilities. The microphone is designed for studio use for vocals and instruments, but is also suitable as a surround microphone for acoustic ensemble performances. Each piece is carefully fitted with a large-diaphragm condenser insert (cardioid) and new low-noise electronics. The sE microphones are then carefully tested not only by instruments but also by listening test after production. The electronics of the X1 S microphone are equipped with two HPF high-pass filters and a -10dB/-20dB attenuation cell, which allows the microphone to be used for picking up loud instruments such as electric guitar or drums.
The output is, of course, symmetrical in design with a gold-plated XLR connector, equipped with impedance matching, allowing the microphone to prevent interference even on long signal lines. The X1 S is simply an excellent choice for anyone looking for very high quality sound at an affordable price.
