The Washburn G-MINI 55 KOA is an acoustic guitar with a shorter gauge and a more compact "Mini" Grand Auditorium body that offers playing comfort to musicians of all ages. The body of the instrument is made of laminated Hawaiian koa. Glued to the mahogany neck is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets.
The strings are anchored in tuning machines with 18:1 gear ratio and ebonite pegs and an ebony fingerboard. The fine craftsmanship and emphasis on playing comfort are illustrated by features in the form of a stylish lower body cutout for easier fingerboard matching, shoulder rest, walnut body surround, ornate rosette composed of maple and mahogany parts, and gold-finished hardware.
