The G260CS is a more traditional version of the popular G260DX model and is sure to please players who prefer a more classic look and feel. A maple neck is bolted to an alder body, the wood of which has undergone a special heat treatment before assembly. This makes it more stable and gives it the golden look of a time-honoured guitar. Twenty-two frets divide the surface of the pau ferro fingerboard.
The combination of the company's Voiced Tone pickups, i.e. a cobbler humbucker and two single-coils, gives the guitar a clean, transparent, tone. The instrument can be used in a wide range of musical styles. The volume potentiometer, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. Treble bleed circuitry ensures constant tone quality without loss of treble/bass boost when the Volume potentiometer is turned down.
Strings are anchored via a bone fret zero in the company's vintage-style, synchronized tremolo mechanism with steel saddles and two-point attachment.
