DEERING Eagle II Acoustic Electric

Eagle II A/E is a top model of five-string electro-acoustic banjo from American brand Deering with original patented type of tone-ring Twenty Ten, on the final form of which Greg Deering and the company team worked for several years. The instrument's brass tone-ring produces a tone with warm character in the midrange and good response in the treble and bass, making the Eagle II a universally great choice for a wide range of musical styles and playing techniques.

The banjo is one of the so-called resonators, i.e. it has a domed dark stained maple and poplar back (Dark Red Mahogany finish). The aforementioned tone-ring adjoins an eleven-inch body made of three layers of maple (violin grade), which gives the sound a beautifully rich tone. An eleven-inch brass rim is attached to the tone ring.

A maple neck with two-way bracing is glued to an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two pakfong frets. Position markers in the form of decorative engravings facilitate orientation on its surface. The strings are mounted on one side in Planetary quality mechanisms, on the other side via a maple/ebony fingerboard in an adjustable Deering True Tone nickel-plated steel stringers. Decorative engravings on the headstock, shoulder rest and decorative two-piece flange complement the basic materials used both practically and visually.

The banjo is equipped with a Kavanjo pickup, a magnetic humbucker specially designed for the needs of banjos, which does not degrade the acoustic sound of the instrument and allows you to play over guitars without distracting feedback.
