The front of the Dreadnought D Rainbow-TR is made from solid Sitka spruce in Aged finish, while the back and sides are made from Indian rosewood with the characteristic rich wood grain. A special Full-Pore Vintage Hand-Brushed lacquer finish provides excellent protection to the wood surface while enhancing its natural texture. A final hand-polish finish gives the guitar a pleasing patina. The Furch CNR System two-way neck bracing adds strength, stability and durability.
The guitar's refined look is accentuated by the Indian rosewood body, fingerboard and headstock binding with white contrasting lines, the herringbone decoration of the front plate, end block and centre strip of the back plate, the herringbone rosette consisting of a double ring with a herringbone pattern and ebony pegs for the fingerboard with mother-of-pearl eyelets. The transparent pickguard lets the natural grain of the wood stand out while not affecting the resonance of the soundboard. Position markers made of white mother-of-pearl facilitate orientation on the ebony fingerboard. Stable tuning is guaranteed by high-quality Gotoh 510 Nickel patina mechanisms with ebony pegs.
The active electronics of the L.R. Baggs Anthem use a combination of microphone sound sensing (patented Tru.Mic technology) and a sub-cabinet pickup, which guarantees authentic reproduction of the instrument's acoustic sound and low microphonics, i.e. susceptibility to feedback. The controls are discreetly housed in the instrument's soundhole.
The guitar is supplied in a luxurious moulded case.
Few Czech products have the worldwide reputation of Furch guitars. The company started in 1981 in one of the many garages of socialist Czechoslovakia, still illegal at the time. Today, the company's acoustic guitars are played by Suzanne Vega, Glen Hansard, David Knopfler, Aneta Langerová, David Koller, Xavier Baumaxa and many others. Furch guitars are best advertised by their reputation.
