The mahogany body of the RG8570Z-RBS is adorned with an impressive four-millimeter wide AAA-quality maple top with a beautiful wood grain. The narrow neck, composed of five pieces of maple and wenge with a flatter J Custom Super Wizard profile, is glued to a macassar ebony fingerboard fitted with jumbo frets with a custom fret edge treatment. The fretboard surface is decorated with a pearl Tree of Life motif, known for example from Steve Vai's guitars.
The guitar is equipped with three passive pickups of the respected Di-Marzio brand with Alnico magnets, where the neck and tailpiece humbuckers (the well-known H-H Tone Zone and Air Norton configurations) are complemented by a True Velvet single-coil center pickup. The guitar's sound can thus be aggressively dynamic with precise tone articulation and great sustain, but also pure warmth. This makes it stand out in a wide range of musical genres. Standard sound adjustments include volume potentiometers, tone controls and a five-position pickup switch.
The strings are housed in high-quality Gotoh mechanics and a Zero-Edge double-turn tremolo, which you use to embellish your playing with impressive sound effects. Stability of tuning during frequent use of the tremolo lever is guaranteed by locks on the zero fret and two additional springs (ZPS3 system), thanks to which the tremolo returns quickly and precisely to the neutral position. The stylish design is accentuated by the impressive Cosmo Black body colour and hardware.
