Electric guitars from the RG series of the Japanese brand Ibanez are among the most famous instruments of this type. Their flatter, faster neck, lighter weight and distinctive cutouts with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard are the reasons for their extraordinary popularity among rock and metal guitarists.

The body of the RG421HPAM-ABL is made of nyatoh wood and ash veneer top. A fast maple neck with Wizard III profile is glued to a maple fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets. Heat treating the maple neck and fingerboard improves their properties (stability, durability, resistance to water and temperature fluctuations) while giving the guitar the look and feel of a mature/played instrument. Black position dots make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface.

The combination of two passive humbuckers from the respected Di-Marzio brand with Alnico magnets, a high output tailpiece and a milder neck, gives the guitar a clean dynamic sound with good articulation suitable for aggressive metal styles. Standard adjustments include volume potentiometers, tone shutters and a five-position pickup switch, which offers, in addition to the usual configurations, the parallel connection of the neck humbucker at position 2 and the sound of the inner coils of both pickups at position 4, i.e. single-coil character.

Tuning stability is guaranteed by the string mounting in the company's mechanics and a solid F106 bridge with string anchorage through the body. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by a nice Antique Brown Stained Low Gloss finish and black hardware.
