The body of the RGIB21-BK is made from exotic nyato wood. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets is glued to a neck composed of three pieces of maple and exotic bubinga wood. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by white offset position dots.
Two active EMG humbuckers provide the instrument's sound with the necessary fullness and precise articulation for vocal solos or chord breakdowns, while also providing density and aggression for ultra-fast guitar shred and sharply chiseled rock and metal riffs. Standard adjustments can be made with the volume potentiometer and three-position pickup switch. Tuning stability is ensured by the strings' attachment in Gotoh Magnum Lock locking mechanisms and a solid Gibraltar Standard II tailpiece, which provides each string with optimal vibration transfer.
Guitars with the Standard designation are the core line of Ibanez guitars. These are affordable instruments that appeal to beginners and experienced players alike with their quality craftsmanship, sound and playability.
