The body of the GS Mini-e Koa left-handed electro-acoustic guitar is made of Hawaiian koa - solid wood front, laminated koa back and sides. An ebony fingerboard with 20 frets is glued to the sapele neck, and positional dots made of imitation mother-of-pearl make it easy to navigate. The stability of tuning is guaranteed by the attachment of strings through the NuBone zero fret in the ebony headstock and chrome die-cast Taylor mechanisms. The stylish look of the instrument is marred by traditional elements in the form of a rosette composed of black and white rings and a veneer on the headstock made of copafera wood decorated with a printed Taylor logo.
Sound pickup is handled by Taylor ES-B electronics, which take advantage of the Taylor Expression System 2 sound pickup. It features a preamp installed in the back of the guitar with Volume, Tone controls, built-in chromatic tuner and a clear LED display with low battery indication (CR2032).
