The ergonomic body of this guitar with its arched top is made of poplar and a fancy top veneer of puff maple. The bolt-on maple neck with graphite bracing is glued to an amaranth (purpleheart) fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets. Its radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred at higher positions. Position markers made of imitation Sharkfin pearl make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface.
Two proprietary humbuckers with ceramic magnets and a high output signal give the guitar the juicy sound so needed in metal and rock music. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the strings' attachment to the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and a licensed Floyd Rose double-turn tremolo, which you can use to add impressive sound effects to your playing.
For several decades now, Jackson electric guitars have appealed primarily to musicians from metal, metal/core, HC and djent bands who prefer a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's roster of players. However, the radical metal design can also enchant adventurous musicians from the completely opposite musical spectrum, as evidenced, for example, by Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote, who in turn clearly prove that the sound of Jackson instruments can make its way into genres built on a clean, warm, sound.
