The JS series offers affordable electric guitars with all the typical Jackson features you associate with the brand and various forms of rock and metal music. Specifically, the Dinky models offer the popular Superstrat body shape.

The ergonomic body of this seven-string guitar with arched top is made of poplar. An amaranth (purpleheart) fingerboard is glued to a bolted one-piece maple neck with graphite bracing. Its radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred in higher positions. The position markers made of imitation mother-of-pearl of the Piranha Tooth (Small Sharkfin) type facilitate orientation on the fingerboard surface.

Two proprietary high-output humbuckers give the guitar a full, juicy sound with the necessary articulation on the thickest strings to match the sound of core, djent or metal riffs and breakdowns. Good articulation in the bass is also aided by the longer fingerboard gauge (673 mm). Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the strings' attachment in the company's Die-Cast drives and a solid headstock with string anchoring through the body.

For several decades now, electric guitars from the American brand Jackson have appealed primarily to musicians from metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands who profess a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's list of players. However, the radical metal design can also enchant adventurous musicians from the completely opposite musical spectrum, as evidenced, for example, by Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote, who in turn clearly prove that the sound of Jackson instruments can make its way into genres built on a clean, warm sound.
