JACKSON X Series Signature Adrian Smith SDX LRL SW

The X series of the American brand Jackson is a mid-range electric guitar with a typical corporate design and great playing characteristics, but still at a relatively affordable price. Specifically, the SDX models were created in collaboration with Adrian Smith of British heavy metal band Iron Maiden and are based, unusually for the Jackson brand, on the more classic Stratocaster shape.

The body of this instrument is made of poplar wood. The bolted maple neck with graphite bracing is glued to a fig fingerboard fitted with twenty-two jumbo-sized frets. Its radius flattens out towards the body - allowing both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred at higher positions. White position dots make it easy to navigate the fingerboard.

The combination of the company's three pickups, a high-output cobbler humbucker and two single-coils, gives the guitar a full dynamic sound with awesome sustain as well as the classic Stratocaster sound. The instrument can be used in a wide range of musical genres. Volume potentiometers, tone controls, and a five-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. The strings are mounted in the company's Die-Cast tuning machines and a Floyd Rose double-reverse tremolo, which you can use to add impressive sound effects to your playing. The instrument's interesting design is accentuated by black hardware and a contrasting white single-ply pickguard.

For several decades now, electric guitars from the American brand Jackson have been appealing mainly to musicians from metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands who profess a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's list of players. However, the radical metal design can also enchant adventurous musicians from the completely opposite musical spectrum, as evidenced, for example, by Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote, who in turn clearly prove that the sound of Jackson instruments can make its way into genres built on a clean, warm sound.
