Transparent sound for mastering
Satori is a fully analogue monitoring and summing system. Satori brings "enlightenment" to the studio. It uses a renowned step attenuator, controlled by relays, offers extreme versatility of inputs and outputs and a large variety of stereo effects, such as mid-side monitoring. This makes it one of the most sophisticated monitoring systems in the world, suiting the demanding operation of commercial studios as well as home project studios. Satori extends the architecture of the Eclipse 384 - Antelope's award-winning mastering AD/DA converter and monitoring controller. Carefully designed analog circuitry and fast transparent relay attenuators guarantee audio signal integrity throughout the entire signal path.
Stepped relay attenuator with precision accuracy
Satori uses precision silent relays with gold-plated contacts and precision resistors for fast and accurate level adjustment without sacrificing excellent audio quality. These relays have a 0.05dB tolerance and stable L/R transfer even when operating at low signal levels. The signal thus retains all detail and the finest nuances.
Analog summing function
In addition to the Satori's excellent monitoring capabilities, it also offers a fully analogue eight-channel summing mix. Analog summing allows sound masters who mix signals without the use of a mixing console to mix signals in the analog domain for a more natural sounding instrument. Summer in Satori brings the liveliness, space and excellent sound dynamics we know from legendary analog mixing consoles.
Analog sound with digital control
Satori's exceptionally clear sound is made possible by complex analog circuitry, but flexible and precise control is provided by a new generation of software control using Control Panel technology, which has enabled new analogue instruments such as the Satori Monitoring System and the MP32 - a 32-channel microphone preamplifier. Satori allows fast and precise control of input signals, switching of speaker outputs, precise output level adjustment and Mute, Mono, Dim and Mid/Side monitoring functions. The Satori control panel also features stereo VU meters for instant visualization of signal levels.
The Satori comes with the R4S remote control panel. This control is designed specifically for the Satori and completely replicates all front panel controls. This allows you to conveniently control the Satori directly from the mix. The R4S provides quick control over all signals and listening monitors, as well as talkback.
In addition, Satori also has an iOS and Android app that lets you turn your smartphone or tablet into a professional control console.
Headphone outputs and talkback
Unlike other monitoring controllers that offer one or two headphone outputs, Satori has four independent headphone amplifiers. This allows individual monitor mix settings for up to 4 band members. Satori uses the same audiophile-grade headphone amplifiers as in its high-end audio converters for home listening. These can easily handle the signal connection of both low and high impedance headphones.
Rich number of inputs and outputs
The Satori offers a rich number of inputs and outputs, no other unit in the 1HU has eight stereo inputs and four stereo outputs on XLR, TRS and D-Sub 25 connectors.
Clear and functional front panel
Large and pleasantly illuminated front panel buttons and an ergonomic rotary Volume level knob allow the user to conveniently and precisely control all basic monitoring functions. Satori is a high-end instrument that is comfortable and easy to use.
