The superior experience of top audio masters with the twelve microphone preamps of our Zen Studio portable audio interface has compelled us to expand the number of inputs. This resulted in a 32-channel preamplifier in just 2HU. It was engineered to match perfectly with our best-selling Orion 32 audio interface, guaranteeing pure transparent sound from microphone to transducers, recording device and player, all with Antelope's signature signature sound. The combination of the Orion 32 and MP32, in a total of only 3HU, makes these devices ideal for studios and live performance recording, where equipment size is a valuable commodity.
Exceptional clarity, transparency and dynamics
The MP32 features 32 microphone preamps operating in Class A, phantom power, 32 line inputs, 4 of which can operate as high-impedance inputs for direct instrument connection. All inputs are on combined XLR/TRS connectors on the front panel of the MP32.
The MP32's individual preamps are sonically open and transparent, yet still maintain clarity and sonic realism throughout the recording process. The MP32 offers an excellent dynamic margin of up to 68 dB of gain in 1 dB steps, which is more than adequate for even very demanding ribbon microphones. While maintaining ultra-low THD+N distortion (-110.5 dB).
Digital remote control
A user-friendly software Control Panel for Mac and Windows allows easy remote control of the inputs and gains of individual microphone preamps. Intuitive controls offer quick initial setup and easy fine-tuning, as well as individual phantom power control and mic/line/hi-z switching of individual inputs. Complex gain structure and preamp settings are greatly simplified by user-adjustable presets, triggered by a simple mouse click. Individual VU meters for each channel provide a comprehensive overview of each signal.
