The Edge Strip is a kit consisting of a large-diaphragm Edge Duo modeling microphone, a powerful Discrete MP microphone preamp, a sturdy microphone holder, a pop filter and an XLR cable.
The Edge Duo is Anelope Audio's entry-level model of large-diaphragm modeling microphones, combining modern technology built to the latest trends with classic vintage microphones that made audio recording history. The emulation of 18 legendary microphones combined with FPGA vintage compressors and equalizers is the next major step that will move you towards professional results at a fraction of the price. Fully decoupled electronics and hand-selected capsules are housed in a carefully designed and manufactured body for optimized sound and low resonance. The plugin for post-production modeling is protected by iLok. This is not included and must be purchased separately. The microphone capsule is covered with a 6 ?m thick gold coating.
Thanks to the Discrete MP preamplifier, Edge Strip offers 4 plugins modeling legendary vintage microphones. It is designed for VST, AU and AAX platforms. The preamplifier is dual-constriction with an oscillator to calibrate the microphone inputs. The preamp is compatible with any software and other audio interfaces, so you can record not only studio sessions, but also live performances or rehearsal demos. The Discrete MP includes two combo XLR/Jack inputs and two LINE outputs for connection to a PA or other equipment. Connection to a PC or laptop is then provided by a USB connector.
A microphone holder (spider), pop-filter and cable are also included.
Plugin for post-production modelling using plugins is protected via iLok. This is not included and must be purchased separately.
