The Strymon Iridium Guitar Preamp and Speaker Simulator offers all this in a compact pedal effect body. It is a great choice for all musicians who prefer DI wiring or want to increase the flexibility of their guitar rigs - whether at home, in the studio or on stage.
The preamp offers three modeling options for famous tube machines - namely the Fender Deluxe Reverb (Round Amp), the Vox AC30 Top Boost channel (Chime Amp) and the Marshall Plexi Super Lead 1959 (Punch Amp), nine highly realistic impulse responses (IRs) of equally famous loudspeakers in great quality and resolution (24bit/96kHz) and a hybrid room reverb that simulates the acoustic environment of smaller or larger rooms (small, medium, large room reverb) in a completely authentic way.
Matrix Modeling captures all the subtleties and unique characteristics of each of the modelled instruments, all the factors that influence the sound have been mathematically modelled with the utmost fidelity. Many will enjoy the ability to record custom IRs via USB using the Strymon Impulse Manager software, saving the current settings/setup of the drivers with the FAV switch, selectable mono/stereo connections on both the input and output of the pedal, multi-function EXP/MIDI input (input for MIDI/expression/volume pedal or footswitch) and headphone output.
All electronics are housed in an anodized aluminum chassis. The pedal works in buffered bypass mode. The power supply is provided by the included 9V DC center negative adapter (500mA).
