If you're looking for an extremely sonically flexible overdrive pedal that gives you the tone, feel and dynamic response of a real tube amp and you don't mind the crown, then you should definitely look for overdrive effects from Origin Effects.

The RevivalDrive Custom is a two-channel overdrive effect inspired by vintage tube machines without Master Volume and their circuitry, because - let's face it - it's hard to come up with anything better. Using purely analogue components, it replicates all levels of tube amp circuitry, i.e. Class A preamps of both channels, a phase inverter, push-pull end stage, rectifiers (tube and solid state - Valve and Silicon Rectifier channels) or the built-in reactive load, i.e. the pedal models the interaction between the tube amp and the speaker. The term "amp in a box" thus takes on a whole new dimension - thanks to the almost inexhaustible possibilities of adjustment (separate channel controls and a wide range of switches underneath are complemented by a secondary EQ2 with another set of switches), the pedal not only produces purely British (Marshall, Vox) and American (Fender) sounds indistinguishable from the original, but can influence even the most subtle sonic nuances.

Describing the functions of individual controls is completely unrealistic and unnecessary, this pedal needs to be tried and "touched". However, we can certainly mention the built-in mid-boost for asserting yourself in the mix (both live and in the studio), the dual function of the MORE/PRES control, where in the setting from the neutral position (12 o'clock) to the right it functions as a classic Marshall presence control, by setting to the left you work with negative feedback - you get more overdrive/distortion (faster onset of distortion), or the unique GHOST control, which replicates the "double tone" or "ghost note" effect (creating aliquots/higher harmonics) of melted tube machines.

Thanks to the wide range of drivers and switches (supplemented on the Custom model by a secondary EQ2), you can also easily solve the problem of many pedals that only work optimally with certain types of instruments. Thus, an overly bright or dark amp sound, or a "weird" sound when the pedal is plugged directly into the soundboard, are echoes of the past - simply adjust the EQ to the chosen circuit.

Included in the RevivalDRIVE Custom and Footswitch Bundle is the Revival Footswitch, which you can use to control the MID ENGAGE and BLEND OVERRIDE functions. The pedal operates in buffered bypass mode. A 9V DC center negative adapter is used for power supply.
