The dspMixFx virtual mixer has also received a new coat, which is again included in the package and is now compatible with iPhone devices. VST plugins now include REV-X reverb, Channel strip with compressor and EQ correction, as well as four guitar simulations for Clean, Crunch, Drive and Lead signals. At the center of your new home studio is the UR22C sound card with high-quality converters capable of recording at 32 bit/192 kHz resolution - that's CD quality. You can plug a microphone or instrument into the two combo inputs, and MIDI is also available for connecting digital controllers.

The sound can be monitored using the supplied headphones, without the annoying delay that occurs when the signal passes through a computer. The headphones are sealed, so they're great at isolating you from ambient noise and crosstalk that would come from the headphones into the microphone while recording.

A quality microphone is required for a quality recording. With this set, you get the ST-M01 large-diaphragm, condenser microphone with a wide frequency response that captures every detail of your production - whether it's singing or playing acoustic guitar. You also get a low-noise interconnect cable with the microphone.
