The guitar's ash body is covered in a glossy polyester lacquer. The maple neck with a pleasing "Early 60's C" profile and the pau ferro fingerboard with a period-authentic 7.25" radius set with twenty-one vintage-size frets give you the classic Tele feel without any compromise. White position dots make it easy to navigate the fingerboard.
The sound, with the unmistakable Fender character of the guitar's two specially designed single-coil pickups, reliably evokes the golden days of emerging rock music. Standard controls in the form of a volume potentiometer, tone shutter and three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments.
The strings are held in the company's tuning machines (Vintage Style) and Bigsby vibrato via a faux bone fretboard. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the logo on the headstock and the three-layer black pickguard, which also protects the guitar's paintwork from scratches.
The guitar comes in a high quality gig bag.
The Vintera series replaces the well-known Fender Classic series. It offers electric guitars and basses made in Ensenada, Mexico, that take you back to the 1950s, 1960s or 1970s. The sound, the design, the equipment - all of it is subordinated to the fact that they are authentic period copies. If you're looking for an affordable Fender guitar or bass, then there's no question.
