The alder body of the guitar is covered with a glossy polyester lacquer. The bolt-on maple neck with a pleasing "Modern C" profile is glued to a pau ferro wood fingerboard with a modern 9.5" radius set with twenty-one Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation around its surface is facilitated by position markers.
Two specially designed Hot '60s Jazzmaster single-coil pickups give the guitar an articulate sound with a distinctive Fender fretboard spiced with a higher output signal, allowing the instrument to find use in a wider range of musical genres. Adding to the instrument's sonic versatility are two independent Rhythm and Lead circuits with separate volume and tone controls.
The strings are mounted in the company's Vintage Style tuning machines via a faux bone fretboard and a traditional floating tremolo via an Adjusto-Matic bridge. The styling elements are complemented by the company logo on the headstock and a four-layer pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell, which also protects the instrument's lacquer from scratches.
The guitar comes in a high quality gig bag.
The Vintera series replaces the well-known Fender Classic series. It offers electric guitars and basses made in Ensenada, Mexico, that take you back to the 1950s, 1960s or 1970s. The sound, the design, the equipment - all of it is subordinated to the fact that they are authentic period copies. If you're looking for an affordable Fender guitar or bass, then there's no question.
