The combination of a solid American Adirondack spruce soundboard with an equally solid back and sides made from genuine mahogany (the wood of the Swietenia family of trees - Honduran, American/Cuban or Mexican mahogany) gives the guitar a rich, clear tone with a balanced balance of tonal clarity and warmth. The soundboard has undergone a torefaction process and other modifications prior to assembly, which the manufacturer collectively refers to by the acronym VTS (Vintage Tone System).
