The body of the instrument, based on the asymmetrical double-cut Viper shape, is composed of mahogany wings and a through-neck made of three pieces of maple with a narrower fast Thin U profile. Twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets divide the ebony fingerboard surface.
An active EMG humbucker at the bridge position provides the guitar with the necessary dose of sonic aggression and density. The correspondingly austere controls are represented by the volume potentiometer and Kill Switch. The strings are held in the company's quality locking mechanisms and a solid Tonepros Locking TOM tailpiece and stringer.
The guitar comes in a carrying case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company, LTD, has been formed to offer popular models in an affordable option. However, even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
