The body of the Viper-400B BLKS baritone model is made of mahogany. A three-piece mahogany neck with a narrow Thin U fast profile is joined by a pau ferro fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Position blocks make it easy to navigate its surface.
Two active EMG humbuckers provide the instrument's sound with the density and aggressiveness needed to adequately sound like heavy metal riffs, while also providing precise articulation for chord breakdowns, singing solos or ultra-fast guitar shred. The strings are mounted in quality Grover mechanics and a solid TOM tailpiece and stringer. The stylish design of the instrument is accentuated by the Black Satin color scheme and matching black hardware.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammet, James Hettfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company LTD was created to offer popular models in an affordable version. However, even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
