The body of the guitar is made of spruce front and laminated maple back and sides. A maple neck with Set-Thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deeper into the body, is glued to an ovangkol fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. The neck's narrow C profile ensures smooth finger movement on the fingerboard and a comfortable fingerboard feel, while the position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl facilitate orientation on the fingerboard surface.
The guitar's single Seymour Duncan Designed Floating Mini-Humbucker pickup, specially made to meet the needs of EXL basses, adds piercing midrange clarity and a warm acoustic feel.
The body of the guitar is balanced by the company's signature mother-of-pearl headstock. Stylish Rotomatic Stairstep mechanics take care of tuning stability. On the other hand, the strings are attached to the Stairstep strings through the ovangkol fingerboard. This provides the instrument with an attractive Art-Deco swing in addition to great resonance. A five-layer Scalini pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell protects the guitar's lacquer from possible scratches caused by playing with a pick. The stylish look is complemented by a three-layer cream trim around the body of the instrument and chrome hardware.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
