Electric guitars from the RG series of the Japanese brand Ibanez are among the most famous instruments of this type. Their flatter, faster neck, lighter weight and distinctive cutouts with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard are the reasons for their extraordinary popularity among rock and metal guitarists.

The body of the RG5121 is made of African mahogany. Glued to a fast neck with a Super Wizard HP profile composed of five pieces of maple and wenge is a Makassar ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo stainless steel frets. Their treated edges provide guitarists with greater playing comfort (Prestige fret edge treatment). Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by offset mother-of-pearl position dots (Mother-of-Pearl) and luminescent dots on the side.

Two Fishman Fluence active humbuckers with ceramic magnets give the guitar a dynamic, aggressive sound ideal for modern strains of metal and core styles with excellent tone articulation, refined character and minimal noise. Standard adjustments include volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch. A switch located between the potentiometers can be used to switch between active and passive electronics.

The strings are mounted in high-quality Gotoh mechanics and a solid Gibraltar Standard II headstock, which provides each string with optimal vibration transfer. The guitar's stylish design is accentuated by the Dark Tide Blue color scheme and Cosmo Black hardware.
