There are two inputs, a combined XLR/TRS and instrument input, which in practice means that you can record, for example, a microphone and a guitar or two different instruments at the same time. LEDs keep an eye on the signal level, and there's phantom power for use with professional condenser microphones.
On the rear panel, there is an overall volume control and a pair of outputs for connecting studio monitors. The left connector offers a stereo output and is therefore suitable for use with headphones. Power is supplied via USB, so no additional cable is needed.
