BOSS Nextone Artist

The Boss Nextone Artist is a two-channel transistor combo with a simple design and 80 watts of power that you'll appreciate in any situation (live playing, rehearsing, recording, home practice) thanks to its flexibility and wide range of features. It is the ideal choice for players looking for a comprehensive unit with the qualities of a tube amp/combo, while offering maximum reliability and minimum maintenance.

The combo offers a Class AB amplifier with authentic Tube Logic sound technology, i.e. faithful simulations of tube sound, allowing you to choose between typical American tube sound (6V6 and 6L6 tube simulations) and British tube sound (EL84 and EL34). Thanks to Tube Logic technology, the combo will give you the "moulded" sound of an amplifier, even when set to room volume (the combo offers selectable wattages of 80, 40 and 0.5 watts).

The combo's two channels (Clean and Lead) feature separate volume controls (plus Gain on the Lead channel) and share a three-band EQ and two potentiometers in the amp's end section (Presence and Master). Boost and Tone buttons allow you to fine-tune the sound for extra gain and brighten it in the high frequencies. In addition to the standard two channels, Nextone Stage offers a special mode (Custom mode) with variations of the sound of both channels (presets). The practicality of the combo is well illustrated by the necessary integrated effects (Delay, Reverb, Tremolo), which expand the already rich sound arsenal.

The USB interface on the rear panel allows direct uploading to a DAW, re-amping and connection to the Nextone Editor software, where you can edit preset sounds (in Custom Mode) and choose between Delay (Analog, Tape, SDE-3000) and Reverb (Plate, Spring, Hall) effect types. The rear panel of the combo also offers an effects loop input/output for integrating your favorite boxes (guitar effects), two footswitch outputs (not included), outputs to external speakers (1x 8 ohm, 2x 16 ohm), line out and headphone output for quiet and undisturbed playing. For the direct outputs, i.e. line, headphone and USB, one of three simulated cabinet microphone pickups (Air Feel) can be set in Nextone Editor.
